KS1 - As part of National Film Week we enjoyed a movie in the hall with popcorn/candy floss!
Anti Bullying Week 2022
Each class contributed to our Anti Bullying Assembly, by performing a role play, song, poem or rap about the different types of bullying.
'If it happens once it's not a crime, bullying happens all the time!'
We looked at and discussed the differences between unkind behaviour and repeated incidents of bullying.
The children did an amazing job at demonstrating this and summarising what they have learnt during Anti-Bullying Week.
We also celebrated Odd Sock Day. We discussed how we are all different and unique, and how this should be something to celebrate.
We entered the NHS Mental Health Team Anti-Bullying poster competition. We look forward to hearing who the winner is!
As part of Road Safety week, Andy Duxbury from Blackburn with Darwen came to speak to Year 1 children about car and road safety. The children were all given a hi-visibility vest, which they are encouraged to wear to and from school and mosque.
All of the children were measured and are under 135cm tall, so must, by law, be in an appropriate car seat.
We also announced the winners of the Road Safety hi-vis jacket competition. The children received their prizes in assembly. Well done to all of those that entered the competition.
