Golden time - we enjoyed a 'halloween' themed golden time including creating a hat, painting and carving a pumpkin. Mrs Banks then came and chose the best pumpkin!
World Mental Health Day - we joined a meeting thinking about what Mental Health is. We learnt how to control any worries and anxiety that we had and took time to reflect on any worries that we had.
Yoga - We learnt a range of yoga moves with Mrs Smith and had time to reflect on what we are grateful for
Children's Literacy Festival - we went to Blackburn Library. The author Christina Gabbitas shared some of her books and poems with us.
Art - we learnt how to 'frottage'
Caroline from the library service came into school to share some lovely books with us.
Coffee Morning - thank you to everyone who attended the McMillan coffee morning.
Maths - we have been estimating, measuring and comparing the mass of a range of objects in the classroom
Science - we have been researching a range of animal life cycles using the iPads
Times tables summit. Well done to Imaan who has already reached the summit for her KS1 times tables.
Well done to everyone who had the confidence to speak in front of the class explaining why they would be a good school councillor. Our new school councillors are M.Hamzah and Huzaifah! Well done!
PSHE - we read a story and talked about different feelings. We then picked up a feeling card and acted it out. Our friends had to guess which feeling we were acting.
We feed the fish three times a week
Art - we experimented creating rubbings of a range of objects
Science - We learnt about the seasons and things that change over the year. We then worked in groups to share and present our ideas.
Music - Bolton Music Service came to perform to the whole school, showing us a range of instruments. We enjoyed dancing and clapping along to the music.
English - we practised and performed a poem focussing on expression and the use of gestures
Art - we learnt how to print using a range of classroom resources
