Hello and welcome to Oak Class with Mrs Whalley, Miss Bentham, Miss Canovi and Mrs Makda. We have made a super start to the year and the children have enjoyed exploring their new classroom and meeting new friends. Please remember that no jewellery should be worn by your child to school, this includes earrings and necklaces. Just a little reminder to ensure your child wears a coat to school every day and that all items of clothing are clearly
labelled.

Phonics
Here at Daisyfield Primary School, we use a systematic synthetic phonics programme called Essential Letters and Sounds (ELS). Phonics is taught daily and during the Autumn Term the children will be taught phase 2 and 3 graphemes and tricky words.
Here are some Phase 2 and 3 pronunciation videos to help support your child's reading at home.
If you have any questions or concerns, please come and speak to us at school or send us a message on ClassDojo.
We are very excited for the year ahead and we look forward to exploring and learning together.
