What a fantastic time we had at the Let's Go Sing concert yesterday. The children from our school choir did us all proud. Their behaviour was excellent and they sang beautifully. Well done to them all :-)
Well done to our Year 5 and 6 Tag Rugby Team who competed in a tournament this week!
Years 3 and 4 have taken part in our Oral Health Campaign, which involved a visit from a local dental nurse from AP Smilecare and a book reading of 'Max's Not so Sweet Dream' by the actor Gayle Knight, from the Civic Arts Theatre.
The children have also entered the Blackburn Rovers oral health poster competition, to promote healthy teeth and gums throughout Blackburn with Darwen.
As part of Mental Health Week we completed a whole school wake and shake. We also had whole school announcements throughout the day to promote and take part in our active minutes.
Each child that completes the daily mile at least 4 times a week is added to a raffle. Every half term children's names are drawn and 24 children are invited to attend Waddow Hall where they will complete a range of activities. Last half term they completed grass sledging and caving with some hill rolling added in.
School Council arranged a whole school litter picking event.
The children worked so hard cleaning up our local area. What a difference they made!
