Chestnut Class

Welcome to Chestnut Class with Miss Barnes, Mrs Moosa and Mrs Mulla.

In Chestnut class we have high expectations; we are resilient and we are a team!

Chestnut Class - Autumn 2.

Our new topic for this half term is 'From Out of the Shadows'. We will be learning about light, electricity and sound.

Find out more in our newsletter below!

In English, we are learning about Folk Tales. We will be using the story 'The Tin Forest' by Helen Ward. We will be innovating this story and creating our own version. We will then be learning how to write a biography about someone special to us.

In Mathematics, we are learning about: place value; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; fractions; money; measurement; counting and sequences. We are also using the times table mountain challenge. (See attachment below)

In P.E we are covering gymnastics. On Fridays, we are going swimming!
