Chestnut Class - Spring term.
Our new topic for this half term is Window on the world. We will be learning about deforestation, endangered animals and fair trade.

In English, we are learning about Adventure Stories. We will be using the story Stig of the Dump. We will be innovating this story and creating our own version. We will then be learning how to write a discussion text.
In Mathematics, we are learning about: place value; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; fractions; money; measurement; counting and sequences. We are also using the times table mountain challenge. (See attachment below)
In P.E we are covering net and wall games. On Fridays, we are going swimming!

Today Chestnut Class visited the cinema to watch Sherlock Gnomes.
