Sycamore Class

Welcome to Sycamore Class!

Mrs Gristwood is your class teacher and Mrs Moosa and Miss Masood are your Teaching Assistants.

PE Days

Our PE days are Thursdays and Fridays.

Children need to come to school in their PE kits which includes, dark green jogging bottoms and a yellow t-shirt.

They will also need non-black soled trainers for their PE days.

Homework

Homework is sent home on a Friday and is expected back in school on a Monday.

Children will be expected to:

- read at least three times a week

- complete either a Maths or English task

- log onto Times Tables Rockstars and practise for at least 10 minutes a week

Reading

All children are expected to READ TO AN ADULT at least THREE TIMES A WEEK.

This is imperative if we are to help our children build their reading comprehension and reading stamina. Please note, if there is no signature, the week will not be counted towards the reading awards.

  • If they have their book signed 3 times for  10 weeks they receive the Bronze award.
  • If they have their book signed 3 times for  14 weeks they receive the Silver award.
  • If they have their book signed 3 times for  18 weeks they receive the Gold award.
