We spent the day dressed up as who we would like to be when we grow up. Can you guess what jobs our Year 6s want to have in the future?
Members of our class and Aspen Class took part in the Bikeability scheme, earning their Level 2 Award! Well done!
We used post-it notes to record our ideas about our artwork and then fed back to the rest of the class to share our impressions of the artist's work.
We also recreated artwork in person. One member of the class acted as a director and told us where and how to stand to recreate this WW2 themed battle.
We have been learning to interpret and create our own musical pieces. We have studied the different types of instruments and created our own pieces using musical notation.
We celebrated Christmas as a whole school, we had a Christmas dinner prepared by the kitchens and then Mrs.Worthington set us some themed challenges in class - who came up with the best "Elfies" and who made the best antlers?
As part of our music, we looked at how we can mix and loop sounds to create different effects.
As part of our English unit on Survival Adventure stories, we acted out scenes from our class novel, Holes (by Louis Sacher) to show how the characters felt during the first few chapters. We also looked at how to blend action with description to create tension.
With an explosive start to our year, over half of Willow Class went to the Residential Experience at Robinwood Activity Centre.
